This is one of my most favourite meals to eat & cook.
This recipe is for all you lovely ers who don’t live in mumbai and don’t have access to my home cooked meals. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Henas Nasi Goreng
Ingredients
250gm chicken breast (sliced)/Tofu
3 cups boiled rice
For the paste
4-5 Kashmiri dry red chillies
1 small onion
5 pods of garlic
Salt
Oil for blending
If u want an additional spice kick add half a fresh red chilly I totally recommend it .
Sauces
1 tbsp dark Soy sauce
2-3 tbsp Kecap Manis
(If you don’t have this you can mix 3tbsp dark soy + 2tbsp honey/brown sugar)
Method
Boil the rice till 85% done and set aside to cool.Refrigerated rice preferable.
Add your paste to a heated wok and sauté till it turns into a deeper red.
Add your chicken/ tofu & toss till almost cooked,season with a pinch of salt.
Add the rice,mix well.
Add the Soy & Kecap Manis,mix well.
Adjust seasonings as per taste.
Cook on a low flame for 4-5 minutes.
Serve with an Indonesian style fried egg & prawn crackers.
